First Entry

I need to get better about recording life stuff, so this is an attempt to do that. I have been keeping an msword journal but I find that I rarely update it. So I'll jump right in.

I currently live at 5837 Ayala Ave, Oakland (Rockridge), CA. I live with Christian who is a great roommate and is from Berkeley. Our landlord is Robert and he is pretty unique/entertaining. I moved here from Flagstaff, AZ 2.5 years ago to work as a real estate agent for Shea Homes - Trilogy Rio Vista. I like rockclimbing and go at least two times a week on Monday and Tuesday morning before work. That means up at 5am. Now that I'm in the groove, I very much enjoy how I feel all day after working out in the morning. I try to climb eight routes in 1.5 hours ranging from 10c to 11c. 11d is my hardest indoor climb ever flashed but I think it was featherbagged. I don't get to climb outside enough, but there is not too much in options and working weekends makes finding partners difficult. So for now, I climb with Trisha in the mornings. I also like to run. Workouts are very important to me for mental and physical health. I do something almost every day even if it is just doing pushups/pullups/abs during commercials of Lost (which I am currently obsessed with).

I've been dating Tia for about four months. Last week, we went to San Diego, her on business and me tagging along. I got to visit Aunt Dolores and Carl in Chula Vista which was fun. San Diego has some nice beaches, but it is kind of a weird town. I think I'm definitely a NorCal type of person. It's funny how different the mentality of people in general is between the two. There was talk for a little while of splitting the state in half. That would be interesting.

I'm content right now, I love where I live, my job is stressful but I'm making a living and it's not too bad. I'm in a relationship which is nice, I'm in good health, and so life is pretty darn good.
