We have a year behind us and decided to celebrate by going to a boutique hotel near Boca C. I made reservations, and left all of the animals in the hands of the family which I arranged ahead of time so it could be somewhat of a surprise. On the way there, a hose in my radiator blew. Luckily, it happened less than a mile away from a mechanic who fixed in two hours time for $20. We arrived to the cabin I had reserved but quickly upgraded to the best room in the empty hotel. We had the place to ourselves and didn't leave for two days. The manager was amazing and the meals were excellent. It was very relaxing and nice to just drop out for a few days without any worries. We planned on staying two nights, but added a third.
Cheers!

It's tough relaxing.

I'll keep you from getting wet!

One activity we did partake in was going out at night to look for snakes and stuff (Jessica's idea). She has lots of experience looking for creepy crawlies and identifying them. It was a blast, we saw lots of critters!
Spider (enlarge pic by clicking to see the fangs).

Another crazy spider.

Coral snake.
