Flagstaff snow
Insane amount of snow the last three days, especially today. Three feet so far, another three feet through tomorrow expected. Went to Snowbowl with Benning, Tim, William, and Mary in William's 1979 Scout. Powder that deep is a totally different experience. I lost my ski three times on the first BD run, but got used to it after awhile. Split up with the gang pretty much immediately, and took three total runs...exhausting stuff! On the last run, the wind was whipping. I couldn't see where I was going, or tell how fast I was going. The hill shut down due to high wind/power loss, so we started to leave. William stopped to help someone get their car out of a snow bank, but the ice got the best of the 'ol Scout and we slid inches from impact of the car we were trying to rescue (Benning reached out of the window and appeared to single handedly prevent the collision). Then, an SUV came down the hill, lost control, and eight people had to dive for safety before impact. We finally got everything settled and made it down the mountain. Now, we are hanging out with Corin and her two roommates, snowed in, and plenty of beer/food. Awesome!
