Missed flight

I just realized I missed my return flight yesterday...oh, well :) Guess I'll stay awhile.

Two nights ago, I heard from friends via Skype for the first time since I've been here. First I talked with Catherine and then a non-video call with AZ friends Catherine, John, and Tauru. It was Tauru's 40th, so we were in our respective places celebrating via the net. It was so nice to get to talk (and drink) with them! It's not considered "drinking alone" if you're talking to people via the phone, skype, or whatever, right? We discussed some important issues of today: Arizona passing a law that allows the police to stop and search anyone who "looks" like an illegal; Arizona passing a law that allows people to carry concealed weapons (i.e. guns) without a permit; Is Lady Gaga really a man; Tauru's plan to win the lottery and buy an aircraft carrier with climbing walls so all of our friends can peace out and travel together; A new business idea involving buying land to build a hostel that includes guest use/consumption of a micro-brewery, John's patented hang-over remedy, and home-made crepes. I'd write the name of this business, but it's a secret for now.

I am playing around with learning to harness the power of Twitter. I believe it can be a great business tool when coupled with a Facebook fan page. Stay tuned.

Yesterday, Lyn and I made salad and pasta, and ate with Jorge. Lyn left today, so I have the hostel all to myself...It's basically a mansion. No, I'm not scared.

I felt my second earth tremor last night...Everything I've read about Panama claims earthquakes don't happen here...I don't believe that, not with all the activity going on all over the world. Solid ground is indeed a myth.

Today, I worked for awhile, shopped for cars online, practiced Spanish with Karinsa, and went for a 7 mile run in the pouring rain. It is one of the best highs I know to run in a downpour, and it's easy to run distance because I never overheat. The locals all look at me like I'm crazy and Karinsa says I'm weird ;) I'm going to the "Hands" CD-release party tonight...should be a great time. I've been waiting to buy their CD since I arrived here.
