Extreme Trail Ride

Jessica and I saddled up and went for a trail ride by her house. We tried two steep trails leading into a jungle canyon. I was riding Skippy who was just snipped, so he has been a lot more calm lately. It was a beautiful day in early December (I am still playing catch-up with my posts), sunny with a nice breeze. I followed Jess down some really steep, rocky trail wondering when (not if) my horse was going to collapse. It was pretty scary for me being inexperienced and I just figured it was normal. So I was relieved when Jessica said this was pretty extreme riding and not for beginners. In the end, we made it back up without incident and rode to the local restaurant for lunch. It's pretty fun riding a horse to the restaurant, I must say!
