Jessica gave the vertical world her first go today. Cesar was busy with two clients from Germany, and so I taught Jess the basics of belaying, tying in, and climbing. It was a perfect sunny day with a nice breeze. I had her start on a 5.10a which she cruised up without much of a problem...pretty impressive for a beginner, although I am not surprised. We climbed for a few hours, and also did some cleaning of the wall because the rain season had deposited a lot of mud on it. It was a great day and Jessica had a lot of fun. I love teaching new climbers, so much fun! And, insurance that you will always have partners ;)
