WI

March 6, 2010

Went to the Asian Market in Madison to pick up Bulgogi and summer roll supplies. We had a late dinner and cousin Angela came over! Lots of fun. Andy presented with my x-mas gift that he ordered off the internet. It was delivered to The Farm, the packaging was chewed up by the neighbor's dog, and the note inside was read by my Dad and Karen ("Dude, you're brotally the brodiest bro ever..., etc."). The gift was a set of "Mandles," candles scented with "manly" scents like grass, leather, motor oil, etc. Thanks Bro!

My maimed mandle present from Andy.

Today I went to the climbing gym. Mom came so I gave her a tour. She kept saying how it would have been nice if there was a gym like this when I was growing up...I agree. Then I went to visit Andy in Madison. Our cousins Eric and Susan, her friend Drew, Andy's friend Mary Ann, roommate Brian, and girlfriend Lyndsay met at Brocach by the capital. Then we had dinner at a BBQ place called Haze which was awesome. Off to another bar where we played Deer Hunter, and some crazy girl who was involved in a photo scavenger hunt needed someone with animals on their boxers. Under most circumstances, I would have fit the bill, but tonight I only had polka-dots, so she drew an animal in one of the dots with permanent marker. Then her friend needed an gymnastic photo, so I was the base for an acro-balance move. Then, the first girl needed to trade clothes with someone, so we exchanged shirts...I felt I earned a beer for all that hard work :) I stayed at Andy's that night where we watched a wonderful movie about the lives of sloths. I am convinced they are a bio/AI/robot experiment gone terribly wrong. Andy, Lyndsay, and I will be in their domain shortly, so I better get used to them.

Went to Mom's house, dropped stuff off, and went to the climbing gym. I got a 1 month membership. It's the best I can do for now. We had a nice dinner together at the Asian restaurant down the road and watched half of Motorcycle Diaries until she couldn't stay up anymore.

Went to Chad and Jeanne's last Wednesday...I was greeted at the door by Jack (5) who said "Braasch? I don't know you but we're going to have lots of fun!" Great to see these guys again. Oscar the dog, Sylvia, and the newest addition, Joey. That night, Nando and Bill came over. The next day, Chad and I took the kids for a walk to the park and played legos (Jack loves legos).

Chad, Joey, and Oscar by a winter river in WI.

Joey asking Sylvia if she's ready to roll.

Sylvia flying high.
