Wisconsin, cont.

The Farm was great; got lots accomplished including finishing up picture scanning and studying Spanish. I met Andy for lunch in Madison (Peruvian). After that, went to Mom's, went out to eat with her and Al in Hartland, and then went to cousin Jackie's house to see her and Michelle. The "Daves" were out for beers because Michelle's Dave is preparing to leave for a tour in Iraq. Great to see my twin cousins and see lil David again! Spent another day at Mom's house nursing a cold.

On Friday, went to the gym, and I met Angie Z at her house in Milwaukee, picked up Joe, and headed to the Brew City Bruisers, Roller Derby tournament. It was my first time at a derby and it was awesome!!! I can't explain it all in words but it's just something I recommend most people experience at some point. I ran into Dennise L there which was cool. I love running into old friends randomly. Then, Joe, Angie, and I went bar-hopping in Bayview. We had a blast! Only sucky thing is I am so amazingly sensitive to smokey bars now that I'm used to smoke-free states.

Stayed at Angie's that night. In the morning, we went to brunch with Joe, his girlfriend Robin, and Theresa. When I lost my phone awhile back and Jodi lent me a spare, there was a strange picture of some dude with a raccoon, cougar, and sandstone arches in the background. So, we went to brunch at National's on National, and I saw this in the bathroom which is the EXACT pic on my loaner phone:

Soon-to-be Mother Theresa.

Angie and Joe.

Went for a run the next afternoon on my old marathon training route. I ran passed several of the houses I've lived in over my undergrad years, as well as the Milwaukee river trail between Locust and North on both sides. Super nostalgic. Then met Angie and Jodi for a free movie at UWM about a cab driver in Israel which was pretty cool. Then went to the house of Brian, Natalie, Walker, and Peanut (a potential new girlfriend for Baby Jesus)!!! Angie, Brian, and I went to RJD2 (awesome show) at The Rave. Saw Jessie G who hooked us up with free tickets (thanks Jessie)! I very much enjoyed King Hell Bastard, and the headliners. Stayed at Brian's house that night.

Yesterday, went gym climbing, visited Brian and Natalie's clothing factory (Heavy Rotation) to pick up some new clothes. Feeling stylish now, thanks B and N! We went to lunch at Miller Park and later made dinner; chicken, summer rolls, beets, veggies, yum! That night, Joe, Chad, Doug, and Billy came over for a round of Hold 'em and BS. Good times!
